How much does it cost?
A counseling session lasts for 50 minutes and costs $75.00. You may be eligible for reimbursement of all or part of the fee from your insurance company. I accept cash, check or credit cards for payment.  You can use your Flex Benefits Card to pay for counseling.

How often do I need to be seen?
The number of sessions typically depends on the type of issue you’d like to discuss and the coping skills you have. Usually its up to you how often and how many times you’d like to be seen. I will also offer a recommendation as to the frequency and duration of therapy.

Do you take insurance?
As a courtesy I will file a claim with your insurance company. I accept payment at the time of service. You can use your Flex Benefits Card to pay for counseling. Your insurance company will reimburse you for all or part of the fee based on your insurance plan benefits. You will need to contact your insurance company to find out what type of mental health benefits you have.

When calling your insurance company to find out what your benefits are, here are some helpful tips:

Call the Customer Service/Eligibility & Benefits phone number located on your insurance card.

Ask the representative what your mental health outpatient benefits are.
The rep may ask for my name and credentials to see if I am in your insurance network. Most likely, I will not be. Ask what your out of network benefit is (if you have one).
You may or may not have a deductible that needs to be met and/or be required to pay a co-pay or percentage of what your insurance company reimburses for counseling. Typically, insurance companies set certain rates for each session of counseling services. You can find out what this rate is by giving them the procedure code/CPT code. The code for a session is 90806.

By finding out the reimbursement rate and what your benefit is, you can determine exactly how much your insurance company will refund you after each session.
