Hello and welcome to the office of Lisa Britt, LMHC, PA. I serve the Jacksonville/St. Johns area by providing mental health counseling to individuals, couples and families. It is my goal to assist those seeking help by providing necessary support and teaching tools to handle life’s challenges.

When is it time to seek help?
Often times we neglect to take good care of ourselves. We experience tremendous
amounts of stress and worry on a daily basis and wonder when, if ever, we’re going to be happy. Sometimes it seems that the world is out to get you and you feel there is no way out of the rut. When you feel as if your problems are too much to handle and you are feeling overwhelmed and indecisive it may be time to seek the help of a mental health professional.

Complete the checklist to see if you could benefit from counseling:

•  I feel sad or hopeless most of the day.

•  I don't sleep well (i.e. too much or too little).

•  I feel restless a lot.

•  I usually don't have much energy.

•  It's hard to concentrate on things at home, work or school.

•  I don't think I'm going to feel better.

•  I feel overwhelmed by my problems.

•  I don't feel like being around others.

•  Little things seem to bother me.

•  Things that I normally enjoy don't appeal to me.
